About Sheridan

I’m so excited to be heading back to New York City in November and I’ve been adding stars like crazy to Google Maps of all the places I want to check out while we’re there. I stumbled on the greatest list of places to check out in Brooklyn from Hillary Rushford of the Dean Street Society blog. Most of these spots are from her suggestions and I can’t wait to check them out. I’m especially excited about the “work” suggestion from her list since it can be SO hard to find great spots to work in New York. Last couple of trips we’ve spent snippets of time in Brooklyn and I loved so much about it so this time I plan on heading straight there for at least a full day to wander around and experience more of it’s charm.

So this is my current Brooklyn to-do list…

work at ROOTS CAFE

sip at TEA & HONEY

eat at FORNINO ART & SCIENCE OF PIZZA

sip & eat at URBAN VINTAGE

because…prettiest green brick walls ever

wine & dine at BAR TANO

The only one on the to-do list that I’ve been to before is Bar Tano and I’m determined to go back because the food was amazing. And, while I’m not much of a drinker, like once or twice a year maybe, they mixed up the BEST drink I’ve ever had during our last visit with friends. Something with frangelico and lemon juice, which sounds awful, but the citrus somehow enhances something in the frangelico to make it taste like a glass of chocolate cake. Pretty sure that was even the name of the drink. Crazy good! If you’re ever in Brooklyn you must try it.

If you’ve got any favorite spots to wander to in Brooklyn please let me know in the comments. I’d love to add more to the list.
