My top 3 favorite flowers would be peonies, tulips and magnolia. Thanks to a little weekend trip to Seattle I was able to enjoy all 3 during the month of May.

Rashida Jones’ character on Parks & Recreation always has the prettiest glossiest lip color. Last month I found a lipstick that pretty much nailed the shade of red (Too Faced La Creme Color Drenched Lip Creme in Sweet Maple) but it just didn’t have enough gloss factor to be the perfect Ann Perkins dupe. Then I stumbled on a youtube video that mentioned this bare minerals marvelous moxie buttercream gloss. She actually had it in forbidden nude so I picked that up thinking maybe it was finally a nude lipgloss that I just might love. Turns out I’m just not a “nude” lip kinda girl. However, there are 4 factors to the perfect lipstick/gloss. Color, texture, taste and scent. This marvelous moxie stuff nailed 3 out of the 4 so I decided to check and see if they had an Ann Perkins shade of red. Cha-ching cherry is now my new favorite. I’ve got my wedding day lip color. Yay! Now if only I could figure out how to get those adorable freckles without spending hours in the sun.
I wanted all of the things. But I’m saving up for peonies and peanut butter bars for our wedding coming up next month. I did good. I bought an $8 bracelet that was just too cute to pass up. I did not buy the large wooden “spirit lead me…” sign that would’ve looked so perfect in our living room. I did not buy any of the adorable tanks or scarves from my friend Abby’s booth. Or any of the perfectly distressed wooden crates from her friend Jessica’s space. I was SO good. It was hard! It’ll be worth it for the peonies though. And even though it was a drizzly rainy morning I’m so glad we went.
