On our first night in Seattle Chris’ niece Kelli got us reservations at an amazing restaurant in the Capitol Hill area of downtown Seattle.
Terra Plata is an earth to table restaurant with a creative menu located in such a neat area of Seattle. We were able to walk from our hotel and it looked like an area that you could spend an entire day in. So many fun looking restaurants, coffee shops and bars.
Lisa and I decided to try the bone marrow from the menu. It’s something I’ve been wanting to try since first hearing about it. Which is crazy if you know me (totally a chicken fingers and french fries kind of girl most of the time) but I’d read somewhere that it’s supposed to be really great for you (although I can’t remember why). Can’t say it’s something I’d order often but I think I would try it again. There’s a new restaurant in GR that I think has it on their menu so we’ll see. It was definitely interesting. The rest of our food was amazing and it was a gorgeous night to sit in their open air dining area street side.
After dinner we stopped at the new Starbucks Reserve Roastery & Tasting Room located just across the street to watch the roasting process.
Day 2 was spent hiking in the mountains with friends followed by coffee and 2 dinner stops with Chris’ nieces. You can check that out here.
